My theme is the movie “kagemusha”. I was inspired by the spectacular scenery and unique Japanese culture. I will fill it in my mindmap. I design the fall-winter collection. Because I want to experiment with the elements of armor, and I need to use a lot of layers. Autumn and winter clothes are very suitable for layers. I like Kurosawa's movie style very much. Kagemusha is my favorite among the movies directed by Kurosawa. I was attracted by the Japanese traditional culture inside, which made me want to try to add Japanese elements to the costume design. I want to make a silhouette with Japanese characteristics. I think this is rarely seen on the clothing show. First of all, I will do research about Japan during the Warring States Period, not only about clothing but also about architecture, painting, and so on. I will use these elements to make a collage, and then choose the silhouette I like. Start the detailed design of these silhouettes. For some elements, I will apply them to fabric Manipulation.
